There was a stunned stadium yesterday after Ross took Gold in the final of the 200m Breaststroke, pulling easily clear of his team mate and fellow Scot Michael Jamieson.
The performance set a new Commonwealth Games Record in a time of 2:07.30. To watch the race again please visit the BBC website
Ross was overwhelmed by the result, speechless and unbelieving in interviews after the race. He dedicated the result to his granddad who celebrated his 70th birthday in Tollcross, watching his grandson become a Commonwealth Games Champion and record holder.
Ross now looks on to his next race in the 100m Breaststroke this morning, with the session beginning at 10:30. With the 100 nominally being Ross' preferred distance, we can only guess at whether he will be able to pullout another world leading performance.
