Silver Medal for Murdoch - European Championships Day 2

Ross took his first medal of Silver in a time of 59.43 in the 100m breaststroke, finishing behind teammate Adam Peaty (58.96).

This was the second fantastic swim of the day after Ross raced in the 4x100m mixed medley relay heats alongside teammates Georgia Davis, Adam Barrett, and Rebecca Turner. The team qualified second fastest (3:48.82) behind Italy (3:48.57) who just beat the British team for a new European record. This was a great show of consistency for Ross as well, putting down a time of 59.31 for his 100m breaststroke leg.

In the final, Ross substituted out to let his fellow teammate Adam Peaty swim in the relay, and along with other substitutions, the GB squad won Gold in a new World Record of over 2.5 seconds of 3:44.02.

Ross' next focus is on the 200m Breaststroke, in which he holds the Commonwealth Games Record.
