Ross has come away from his second major championships this year with another 2 medals.
"Really pleased with tonight's performance! ... Thank you everyone!"
Though he was just beaten to gold by local swimmer Marco Koch in the 200m breaststroke, Murdoch seemed delighted with his Silver. This was his second 2:07 time this year, and only two weeks off the back of the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, so Ross has certainly shown consistency and a good level of fitness despite his disrupted training.
In the relays, Ross swam both the mixed and men's 4x100m Medley heats, helping to secure a place for GBR in the finals, both of which the team went on to win. In the mixed medley, the GBR team not only took gold, but set a new World Record.
After the European Championships in Berlin, Ross thanked everyone for all the support he had received,
"What a season it's been! I've had an absolute blast and only wish I could do it all again! Two medals back to back at major championships in the Olympic events! Can't wait to get back to Stirling and get back into training! Thank you everyone for all the support I've had throughout this whole year!"
Ross has now arrived back in Scotland to resume his training.
