Strathmore Water

Strathmore Water - Do More
Ross is proud to be one of the new brand ambassadors for Team Strathmore Water, who has unveiled their choice of Scotland's most recognisable and respected medal contenders for the Rio de Janeiro Olympics 2016.

Strathmore Water - the water at the heart of Scottish sport - has teamed up with swimmer Ross Murdoch, track cyclist Katie Archibald and T53 wheelchair racer Samantha Kinghorn to inspire and motivate Scots to get involved in swimming, running and cycling.

While the nation gears up for a summer of sport, with the Olympics and Paralympics taking place from early August, 'Team Strathmore' will harness our love of sport and show how people of any age and ability can get involved and Do More.

Working with a number of sporting partners and events, including scottishathletics and Scottish Swimming, Strathmore will deliver a year-long campaign which will include inspiration, tips and techniques for all levels, not to mention some once-in-a-lifetime opportunities for Scots to get involved!

Stirling University

Stirling University
Stirling University is Scotland's University for Sporting Excellence, a designation by the Scottish Government in recognition of our contribution to Scottish sport. Our mission is to deliver the best for Scottish sport through the powerful and inspirational combination of sport and education. We are at the heart of Scottish sport, preparing athletes to perform on the world stage, enabling students to develop their skill sets for excellent careers and producing innovative research to improve the health of the nation. Our sport-centred campus is the hub of the local community and brings together the people shaping Scottish sport, creating a critical mass of sporting expertise and excellence.

Back A Rising Star

Back a Rising Star
Scottish Swimming's Back a Rising Star programme enables individuals, community groups and companies from the Scottish community to donate funds to support Scottish national programme athletes. Back a Rising Star aims to raise awareness about our rising stars and the work they are putting in on their journey to realise their Commonwealth and Olympic aspirations, and to provide an opportunity for people beyond the normal corporate sponsorship arena to get involved in supporting our athletes and play a part in a remarkable period of Scottish sport.

Wining Students

Winning Students
Winning Students was established in May 2009 as Scotland's national sports scholarships supporting student athletes. The scholarships are funded by the Scottish Funding Council and managed by the University of Stirling as Scotland's University for Sporting Excellence. Athletes are nominated for a scholarship, up to the value of £5,500, by their sport's governing body across core sports and can be used on a range of support services, and through partnership with the sportscotland institute of sport, the support received complements existing support for each athlete.
